Hakkari Dağları is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.340m (10,958ft) above the sea level, located in the Hakkâri Province of Turkey. It’s one of the highest roads of Europe.
The road to the summit is totally unpaved. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The road is 31.5 km (19.5 miles) long, starting and ending at the paved D400. This road is usually impassable from late October through late June or early July (depending on snow).
If you do choose this route please check up to date information. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 7% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
