Peña Telera
Peña Telera is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.791m (5,875ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, in northeastern Spain close to the border with France.
The road to the summit, located in the midst of the Pyrenees, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). 4x4 vehicle recommended. The journey offers stunning views. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. Starting from Sandiniés the ascent is 11.0 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 529 meters. The average gradient is 4.81%.
