Ermita de la Virgen de Lomos de Orios
Ermita de la Virgen de Lomos de Orios is a mountain chapel at an elevation of 1.433m (4,701ft) above the sea level, located in the province and autonomous community of La Rioja, northern Spain.
The road to the summit, located within the Sierra de Cebollera Natural Park, is asphalted but pretty narrow. Speed limit is 30km/h. There’s a big parking lot at the summit. It is subject to winter snowfalls with such a high summit altitude, but it can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. Starting from Villoslada de Cameros, the ascent is 8.5 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 393 meters. The average gradient is 4.62%. The climb has been featured in Vuelta Ciclista a la Rioja (UCI. Cat. 2.1).
