Road NA-4000
Carretera NA-4000 is a very exciting road in the heart of the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain.
Its many twists, turns and narrows can pose a challenge to even the most experienced drivers. The road is not easy. The drive is 19.1 km long. It’s a good though narrow tarmac, full of curves, some of which have been banked to make driving easier. Extreme care with wild horses.
The road links the N-121A and the GI-3420 roads. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Don’t stuff your belly too much. Eventually, you might feel vomiting temptations. The journey includes some steep sections. Starting from N-121A the elevation gain is 400 meters. There’s so much high vegetation that at some points the foliage won’t let you see the sky. The road ends inside a narrow tunnel about 300m long, near Collado de Arichulegui, a mountain pass, at 447m above the sea level.
