Puerto de Honduras
Puerto de Honduras is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.433m (4,701ft) above the sea level, located in the north of the province of Cáceres, in Spain.
The road to the summit is called CC-102. It’s asphalted in pretty bad conditions and pretty narrow. The journey offers incredible views of the Valley of the Jerte in Caceres. This road has innumerable twists and turns. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Don’t stuff your belly too much. Eventually, you might feel vomiting temptations.
The road is winding and pretty steep, with some sections up to 9.6%. Starting from Hervas, the ascent is 15 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 750 meters. The average percentage is 5 %. And starting from Cabezuela del Valle, the ascent is 18 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 844 meters. The average percentage is 4.7 %.
