Alto de La Camperona
Alto de La Camperona is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.597m (5,239ft) above the sea level located in the province of León, Castile and León, in north-western Spain.
The road to the summit is asphalted but narrow and brutally steep. The ascent is 8.5km long with an average gradient of 7.4%. But the maximum slope is 25%! At the summit there’s a bar and several communication towers. It has been featured in Spanish Vuelta race.
