The road to the summit is very narrow with brutally steep sections. It begins paved but turns to gravel after a few meters and is in poor condition. A 4x4 vehicle is required to reach the summit.

How Long is the Road to Coll del Pal?

Starting from Sant Martí de Surroca, via the Refugi Montserrat mountain hut, the ascent is 4km (2.48 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 447m, with an average gradient of 11.17%.

Is the Road to Coll del Pal Open in Winter?

Set high in the Serra Cavallera mountain range, the road becomes completely impassable in winter due to ice and snow.
