Where is Collada Verda?
The pass is situated in the Pyrenean comarca of Ripollès, in the northeastern part of the country. It connects the valleys of Camprodon and Ribes.
When Was the Road to Collada Verda Built?
The road was originally constructed to access an antimony mine, which closed in 1923. Near the summit, you'll find an abandoned mountain hut known as Refugi Pla de Satlla.
Is the Road Through Collada Verda Unpaved?
Yes, the road to the summit is completely unpaved and extremely narrow, making it impossible for two small cars to pass simultaneously. It is called Camí de la Collada Verda, and a 4x4 vehicle is required for the journey.
