The waterfall is located between the municipalities of Mogán and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in the southwestern part of the island of Gran Canaria.

Why is Soria Waterfall famous?

The waterfall is extremely beautiful. Because of its beauty, it is locally known as Cascada Bonita (Beautiful Waterfall). Unfortunately, the Cascada de Soria usually has too little water to form a waterfall. Nevertheless, it is really worth it. During a heavy rainy period, this waterfall is one of the most water-rich on Gran Canaria. However, you need luck. Even if it rains heavily locally, it is usually only a trickle that finds its way down the waterfall. But when the rainfall fills the "La Presa de las Niñas" reservoir heavily and quickly, a spectacular waterfall is formed, which flows further into the Embalse de Soria reservoir. In the summer months or when it's hot, the waterfall usually doesn't have water.
