Piedra Partida Refuge
Refugio de Piedra Partida is a high mountain refuge at an elevation of 2.462m (8,077ft) above the sea level, located in Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, in Southern Spain. It’s one of the highest mountain roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, is is unpaved. 4x4 vehicle required. Along the way you can enjoy magnificent views to the snowy peaks of Mulhacén and Veleta. Due to the high elevations and exposure, the road is subject to strong winds and rapid weather changes. The shelter was built in 1988. This basic mountain cabin provides shelter against the elements.
