Pico La Mirandiella
Pico La Mirandiella is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.570m (5,150ft) above the sea level, located in the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. The climb is simply brutal: 11.68%.
The road to the summit is unpaved. Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. 4x4 vehicle required. Along the way you can enjoy magnificent views of snowy peaks.
The road is very steep, with some sections up to 15%. At the summit is a big communication tower. The road is closed to private vehicles. Starting from Puerto de San Lorenzo (AS-265 road), the ascent is 1.9 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 222 meters. The average percentage is 11.68 %.
