Loma del Caballo
Loma del Caballo is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.480m (8,136ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Granada, in the region of Andalucia, southern Spain. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, is unpaved. Recommended from late spring to early fall, since you´ll go through mountain roads where there is often snow. 4x4 vehicle required. Along the way you can enjoy magnificent views to the snowy peaks of Mulhacén and Veleta. The road is very steep, with some sections up to 15%.
