Located at the center of the Gralheira Massif mountain range, in the Central Inland region of the country, Portal do Inferno is a unique viewpoint set amidst the Arada Mountains.

Is the road to Portal do Inferno e Garra paved?

The road to the summit is called Estrada do Portal do Inferno. It is fully paved but very steep, with gradients of up to 11% in some sections, and is narrow in many parts. If you're afraid of heights, it's better to keep your focus on the road ahead. The route is spectacular due to its slopes, making it one of the steepest mountain roads in the country. It also features four sharp hairpin turns.

The road to the viewpoint is 7.5 km (4.66 miles) long, running from CM1123 road to EM567 road. It offers stunning views of the Serra da Arada, making it a remarkable drive for adventurous travelers.
