A wild hairpinned road to Osafjellet
Osafjellet is a mountain peak at an elevation of 1.219m (3,999ft) above the sea level, located in in Vestland county, Norway.
The road to the summit is totally paved, but narrow (impassable for 2 medium cars at the same time) and pretty steep, with sections up to 16.0%. This route features many hairpin turns, so it’s not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Open to traffic between May and September.
Starting from Osa (Fv300 road), the ascent is 14.7 km (9.13 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.216 meters. The average percentage is 8.27 %. The drive is very scenic and offers stunning views of the Langvatnet lake.
