Rifugio Scoiattoli is a high mountain hut at an elevation of 2.257m (7,404ft) above the sea level, located in Veneto, a region in Northern Italy.
Located in the southern (Dolomitic) Alps, within the Regional Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites, the road to the refuge is unpaved and very narrow. The refuge was built in 1969. The road is a ski-station service road. Only 4x4 vehicles.
The location is amazing with breathtaking views over the 5 Torri area. This area was theater of conflicts between Italian and austro-Hungarian troops during World War I. It sits in the immediate vicinity of the Great War Open Museum. Starting from Rifugio Cinque Torri, the road is 1.0 km long.
