Strada degli Alpini
Strada degli Alpini is the name of the sharply winding and precipitous ascent in a steep and narrow zig-zag road located in the Province of Treviso, in the Italian region Veneto.
The road is asphalted but pretty narrow, with some sections impassable for 2 cars at the same time. The road is 6.7 km long. There are sheer drops virtually along the entire route and enough hairpins to make a whirling dervish dizzy. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness.
The drive is pretty steep. Starting from Strada Provinciale 26, at an elevation of 267m above the sea level, the ascent is 6.7km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 809 meters. The average gradient is 12,07%, with some sections up to 20%.
