Lago del Diavolo
Lago del Diavolo is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 2.126m (6,975ft) above the sea level, located in the province of Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy.
The road to the lake, located within the the Bergamo Alps, is mostly gravel (with some concrete sections), rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s a very narrow exposed trail (totally impassable for 2 cars at the same time), with some steep sections. Some rocky sections require a 4x4 vehicle. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. At the lake there’s a mountain refuge called Rifugio Fratelli Longo built in 1923.
