Valico di Monte Cristo

Valico di Monte Cristo is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.767m (5,797ft)  above the sea level, located in the Abruzzo region of Italy.

The road to the summit, on a lunar landscape, is called Strada Statale 17 bis. It’s asphalted but pretty steep, with sections up to 10.0%. It's one of the highest mountain passes of the Apennines.
