A delightful yet challenging road to Monte Bondone

Monte Bondone is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.654m (5,426ft) above the sea level, located in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in Italy. The climb is pretty steep, with sections up to 13%.

The road to the summit, located within the Alps, is totally paved It’s called Strada Provinciale 85 (SP85). It’s pretty steep and features more than 40 hairpin turns.

There are 3 routes to reach the summit. Starting from Aldeno, the ascent is 22.54 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.445 meters. The average percentage is 6.4 %. Starting from Trento, the ascent is 21.5 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.463 meters. The average percentage is 6.8 %. And starting from Lasino, the ascent is 23.7 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.203 meters. The average percentage is 5.1 % but the maximum slope is 13 %.
