The pass, also known as Carette Col di Val Bighera is traversed by an asphalted narrow road. The road has around 15% on average for 5-6 kilometres with a maximum at 20%.
The pass can only be reached from the west, from Mortirolo Pass. From there leads a small but well-maintained asphalt road in eight kilometers to the top. There is no asphalt road that one could descend on the other side of this pass.
