The epic unpaved road to Col dei Rossi in the Dolomites
Col dei Rossi is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.371m (7,778ft) above the sea level, located in Trentino in the region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in Italy.
Set high in the Dolomites mountain range, in the Alps, the road to the summit, also known as Col di Rosc, is totally unpaved but navigable by passenger vehicles in dry weather,
Tucked away on the northern part of the country, the road is 1.1km (0.68 miles) long starting at Rifugio Fredarola. This road is usually impassable from late October through June. The drive offers an unparalleled view of the mighty Marmolada and the glacier on its north face.
