Asos-Myrtos Road
Asos-Myrtos Road is one of the most beautiful roads in Greece. It’s located in the region of Pylaros, in the north-west of Kefalonia island, in the Ionian Sea of western Greece.
The road is winding, steep, and narrow in parts, but very scenic, with stunning views of white-sand beaches surrounded by sheer limestone cliffs. The road has some bends, gradients and drop offs to one side or the other. The journey offers an exhilarating driving experience, with superb views. Take your time, stop often for the views and enjoy.
The picturesque road is 11.8 km long, and runs north-south between the village of Asos and Myrtos, considered by many as one of the best beaches in the world. Be careful about rockfalls or passing goats. The road does get busier at weekends and in the main holiday season. It is maybe the mostly photographed beach in Europe.
