Cape Taenaron
Cape Taenaron is a very scenic cape located in Kokkinogia, in Laconia a region in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula, in Greece.
The road to the cape is asphalted but pretty narrow, steep and without guardrails. It’s the southernmost point in mainland Greece. The road was built at the shore of a beautiful blue sea to a wild and dominating scenery composed of naked from vegetation mountains.
This is a half desert region and the road is winding with absolutely incredible views. It’s 4,4 km long. Danger comes mostly from aggressive packs of wild dogs and animals (sheep, cows, goats) and they tend to ignore any traffic. Traffic is low in this region.
