A curvy road from Leptokarya to Karya
Located in Pieria region, in the southern part of the Region of Central Macedonia, in Greece, the drive from Leptokarya to Karya is a very challenging paved road with uncountable turns and twists.
The road is 25.2 km (16.65 miles) long. It runs east-west from the village of Leptokarya (Pieria regional unit) towards Karya (Larissa regional unit). The road is very exposed with stunning views. Along the way you’ll have to deal with some dangerous drop offs.
The road tops out at 1.002m (3,287ft) above the sea level. Expect a road full of hairpins (more than 30), without protections, and very steep, hitting a 19.9% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. The area is famous to be a gravity hill known as Levithra Magnetic Field.
