Is the road through Kleidi Gorge paved?

How long is the road through Kleidi Gorge?
The road through the gorge stretches 28.9 km (17.95 miles), running south to north from Prousos village (also known as Potamia) to Karpenisi town.
What makes Kleidi Gorge unique?
In Kleidi Gorge, the road becomes even narrower, winding through sharp turns until it reaches the most spectacular spot. Here, the road passes beneath a rock canopy, creating the illusion that the car is being swallowed by the mountain. To the left, a natural hollow in the rock covers the road, while to the right, the Karpenisiotis River flows through one of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes. This is a perfect stop for photographs, but caution is advised—frequent signs warn of possible landslides, making it a risky yet unforgettable experience.
