Tete de Vescal
Tete de Vescal is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.435m (7,988ft) above the sea level, located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southeastern France. The average gradient is 17.57%.
Located in the Southern Alps, at the edge of Mercantour National park, the road to the summit is rocky and gravel. It’s a chairlift access trail. Only 4x4 vehicles. The slope is very steep, consists of loose stones and becomes even steeper and rocky in the upper part. Starting from D908 road, the ascent is 2.1 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 369 meters. The average gradient is 17.57%. This trail can be done only a very narrow time-frame in the summer. The road is closed to private vehicles.
