The wild road to Bocca di Chiralba in Corsica
Bocca di Chiralba is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.749m (5,738ft) above the sea level, located in the Corse-du-Sud department of France on the island of Corsica. It’s one of the highest roads of Corsica.
The road to the summit is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 vehicle required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. Near the summit there’s a mountain refuge called Bergerie de Croci.
