Col de Jaffueil
Col de Jaffueil is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.494m (8,182ft) above the sea level, located in the Hautes-Alpes department in southeastern France.
The road to the summit, located in the Queyras mountains, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s a chairlift access trail. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). 4x4 vehicle required. Expect a trail pretty steep. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. Its many twists, turns and narrows can pose a challenge to even the most experienced drivers. The road is not easy, though. Up, down, right, left all the time.
