Lac de Pramol
Lac de Pramol is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.728m (5,969ft) above the sea level, located in the Maurienne Valley, in the Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. The lake lies two kilometres beyond les Karellis ski resort.
The road to the summit is asphalted. Starting from Saint Jean de Maurienne, the ascent is 18.8 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1.168 meters. The average percentage is 6.2 %, with some sections up to 11.0%. It is a fairly wide, winding road that rarely has much traffic (avoid Saturday’s during ski season). The calm waters of the lake reflect the imposing silhouette of the Croix des Têtes, France's biggest limestone cliff.
