A treacherous paved road to the summit of Col du Parquetout
Col du Parquétout is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,448 m (4,750 ft) above sea level, located in the Isère department of France.

The pass is located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the southeastern part of France. South of the pass, the views are stunning, offering beautiful vistas of the valley.
How long is Col du Parquetout?
The road to the summit is fully paved and is called D212F. The pass is 9.8 km (6.08 miles) long, running south-north from Villelonge to Les Angelas. There is a small parking area at the top of the pass.
How challenging is Col du Parquetout?
The road to the summit is difficult and very treacherous. Although paved, it is quite bumpy with patches of loose gravel and is mostly narrow. It's all fine until you encounter an oncoming car. The road is full of sharp turns and becomes very steep, with a gradient of up to 13.3% in some corners, and there are no guardrails. It's more suited for motorcycles than cars, but it's doable if you enjoy a challenge and are in good physical condition.
