Fort de Ronce
Fort de Ronce is a high mountain fortress at an elevation of 2.294m (7,526ft) above the sea level, located in the Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

The road to the fortress, also known as Forte Roncia, was built between 1877 and 1880. The road is extreme: full of hairpins, narrow, gravel, washed out and impassable from September to June. The road is closed to motor vehicles
