Accessibility to the fort is largely limited to the summer season. At the summit are several military constructions from 1898. It saw action in June 1940 during the Italian invasion.
The road to the summit is very steep. Starting from the paved D106 Road, the ascent is 7.2 km (4.47 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 479 meters. The average gradient is 6.65%.
