Set high in the Alps, the pass links the department of Savoie in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, and the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.
Is the road through Pas du Paradis paved?
The road to the summit is entirely paved. It’s called Strada Statale 25 del Moncenisio in Italy and D1006 Road in France. The drive is quite challenging, with narrow parts (it’s closed to bigger vehicles) and many hairpin turns, especially on the French side.
How long is Pas du Paradis?
The pass is about 60km (37.28 miles) long, running from Modane (in the Savoie department) to Susa (in the Metropolitan City of Turin). The drive provides stunning views.
