Set high in the Pyrenees mountain range, the road to the summit is totally paved. It is the highest asphalted road in the Pyrenees. It’s called CG-2. In 2002, the most challenging part of the road was bypassed by a 2,879 meters long toll tunnel. At 2.052m above the sea level, it’s said to be the highest tunnel in the Pyrenees. It’s a two-way tunnel with one lane per direction.
