Taking on the Twists and Turns of Défilé de l'Inzecca
Défilé de l'Inzecca is a very scenic canyon located in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica.
Tucked away in the center of the island, the road through the gorges, carved by the l'Inzecca river, is totally paved. It’s called D344. Don’t stop your car in the middle of the road, and don’t park on the roadside. It’s a very beautiful route through the enclosed Défilé de l'Inzecca.
The road is 25.8 km (16.03 miles) long, running east-west from Ghisonaccia to Ghisoni. Plan about 35 minutes to complete the drive without any stop. High risk of rock slides. The road through the ravine with the typical Corsican rock walls, which are shaped and perforated by wind and rain, shimmering reddish, can become very busy during the summer months.
