Eisentalalm, the highest point on the Nockalmstrasse
Eisentalalm is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.042m (6,699ft) above the sea level, located in Carinthia, in the Karnten region of southern Austria. It’s the highest point on the Nockalmstrasse.
The road to the summit is called Nockalmstrasse. It’s a paved toll road, with a length of 34km, and features 52 hairpins. It is closed in winters. The summit is crowned with a sculpture of a family of marmots.
