Pešića Jezero

The road to the lake, located within the Bjelasica Mountain, is totally unpaved. It’s called Pešića rupa. Situated under the highest peak of Crna glava, the road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point.

4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Starting from Griža, the ascent is 5.6 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 488 meters. The average gradient is 8.71%. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. There’s a legend about the lake, where a white horse with wings and blue eyes used to emerge from the lake at night and fly above it.
