Travelling through the Latvian P79
P79 is a very scenic regional road located in Vidzeme region, in northeastern Latvia.
The regional road is 38km (23.61 miles) long. It runs north-south from Ērgļi, a small town on the banks of the Ogre river in Ērgļi Municipality, to Koknese, a historic town in the Koknese Municipality on the right bank of the Daugava River.
It’s mostly unpaved, with some paved parts at its ends. The road is important for the entrepreneurs of Koknese region. After heavy rains, the road becomes pretty defiant.
