Neretva canyon
Neretva canyon is a very scenic canyon in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, straddling the Neretva River.
The drive is really lovely through dramatic canyons and limestone gorges. The road is asphalted. It’s called M17 part of the European Route E73. The road follows Neretva river through its magnificent canyon. The road links the villages of Jablanica and Potoci, in the Mostar Municipality.
Be careful: the road does get busier and can be a bit more crowded at weekends and in the main holiday season. The road is pretty winding and twisty. It’s an unforgettable drive featuring some really nice towns and villages. River is clean green colour and very cold. You can stop and take pictures and you will also find many reststops with benches and tables along the way.
