Čemerno Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.301m (4,268ft) above sea level, located in the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Where is Cemerno Pass?
Located in n the southern part of the country, near the border with Montenegro, the pass is named after Čemerno village.
Is the road through Cemerno Pass paved?
The road to the summit is totally paved. It was improved and resurfaced in 2013. It’s called Stari put M20 (old M20 road). It was bypassed by a tunnel (part of the M20 road) built in 2013. The tunnel, known as Tunnel “Čemerno”, is 2,109m long.
How long is Cemerno Pass?
The pass is 9.3 km (5.77 miles) long, running south-north between R434 and M20 roads. It’s a very steep drive, hitting a 10% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
