Fusha e Dajtit
Fusha e Dajtit is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 1.055m (3,461ft) above the sea level, located in Tirana County, in Albania.
The mountain road to the summit, located within the Dajti National Park, is called SH47. It’s asphalted (in very poor conditions) and pretty narrow. Some sections are impassable for 2 cars at the same time. The summit is the site of many restaurants and radio and TV transmitters.
The drive is very scenic and panoramic. But pretty steep. Starting from the SH54 road, at 760m above the sea level, the ascent is 8.0 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 295 meters. The average gradient is 3.68%. Overlooking the city of Tirana and backed by the mountains, the view from the summit is renowned for its breathtaking views of the landscape which on a clear day stretch as far as the coastal city of Durres and the Adriatic Sea.
