The Wild Road to Qafe Vranice
Qafë Vranicë is an international high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.630m (5,347ft) above sea level, located on the border of Albania and Montenegro.

The pass is located within the National Park Prokletije, and links the Plav Municipality of north-eastern Montenegro and the Kukës County in northern Albania.
How long is Qafe Vranice?
Set high in the Albanian mountains, the road through the summit is entirely unpaved. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The pass is 12.5 km (7.76 miles) long, running north-south from Çerem (in Albania) to Hoti (in Montenegro). This track can get very muddy and slippery after rains.
