The difficult road from Mollas to Petran, only for experienced drivers
Located in southern Albania, the Mollas-Petran road is a very challenging drive, running through mountain passes and canyons. It’s a shortcut from the SH75 Road to Petran.
The road is totally unpaved. It’s 77.5 km (48.15 miles) long and runs from Mollas, a village in the Korçë County to Petran, a village in the Gjirokastër County. 4x4 vehicle required. This route is not suitable for normal cars. The road climbs up to mountain passes and crosses many old bridges.
This track can get very muddy and slippery after rain making it challenging to get through. The most scenic part of the drive is running through the Kanioni i Langarices (Langarica Canyon). The canyon is surrounded by the forests and mountains of Dangelli and Shqeri and streams in Vjosa River. High vertical walls, clear sky, a mountain river under your feet, and clean air.
