How To Travel The Swanston Track
Swanston Track is the name of a pretty challenging drive after rains, located in the Central LGA region of Tasmania.
The road is totally unpaved with rocky parts, with a few sections of slippery mud and water holes, gullies, boulders and drops. A 4x4 vehicle is required. The road is 30.9 km (19.20 miles) long, running east-west from Little Swanport to Stonehenge.
The drive has steep sections and tops out at 336m (1,102ft) above the sea level. It’s a difficult drive after rains. Along the way there is some nice forest.
