The road to Jugshai Gali isn’t an easy one
Jugshai Gali is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.695m (12,122ft) above the sea level, located in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in Pakistan.
Set high in the Baboon Valley, the road to the summit is totally unpaved and very narrow in parts. Along the way you’ll go through from water, sharp curves and turns, on stony track. The road features dangerous drop offs. 4x4 vehicle required.
The road is 34km (21.12 miles) long, running west-east from Seri to Keran, on the Neelum Valley Road. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 19% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. To drive the road without stopping will take most people between 3 and 4 hours. The best time to visit the area is April to August or early September as due to heavy snow here, it gets closed for tourists.
