Jhankai Nuruu, a 4x4 road with stunning views
Jhankai Nuruu is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.282m (7,486ft) above the sea level, located in Khövsgöl province, in northern Mongolia.
Tucked away in the Horidol Saridag Range, the road to the summit is unpaved. 4x4 vehicle required. The road is neither in bad condition nor long. Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season.
The road to the summit is pretty steep. It’s 5,5km long. Over this distance the average gradient is 8,1%, hitting a 10% through some of the ramps. The summit is an exquisite viewpoint over Khovsgol Lake and surroundings. The view reaches the border with Siberia.
