The Breathtaking 4x4 Road to Pereval Ashusu
Pereval Ashusu is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3,890m (12,762ft) above sea level, located in the Jeti-Ögüz district of Kyrgyzstan.

The pass is located in the Issyk-Kul Region, in the northeastern part of the country, near the Chinese border.
Is the Road to Pereval Ashusu Unpaved?
The road through the summit is completely unpaved. To reach the top, you’ll have to navigate countless hairpin turns on the way up and down, so it’s not recommended for those prone to car sickness. A 4x4 vehicle is required.
How Long Is the Road to Pereval Ashusu?
Set high in the Terskey Alatau mountain range, the road to the pass is 21.7km (13.48 miles) long, starting from Kara-Say on the A364 road. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views with no traffic. South of the pass, the road runs for a few kilometers before reaching a dead end.
