Nichke pass
Nichke pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.925m (12,877ft) above the sea level, located in Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
It’s a mine road towards Nichke-Su gold-mine. The road is very narrow and unpaved, with dangerous drop offs. Usually impassable from November to June. Weather conditions can change quickly and be harsh. As always, check road conditions before departing. The road is difficult and it’s a nightmare in the wet or dark (or both). Do not take this drive if you have respiratory problems or any type of heart condition. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor at any time of year.
