How to Drive the Hairpinned Road to Sapi La?
Sapi La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,397m (14,425ft) above sea level, located in the Kargil district of the Indian union territory of Ladakh. There are plenty of hairpin turns.

Is Sapi La Paved?
The road through the pass, also known as SapiLa, is mostly paved, but it has a few unpaved parts. However, it has a good surface and very little traffic. It is not recommended if you are prone to car sickness, as the road features countless hairpin turns.
Is Sapi La Open in Winter?
Set high in the northern part of the country, the road is open only in summers. The pass is isolated for seven to eight months during the winter due to excessive snowfall.
How Long is Sapi La?
The pass is 32.4 km (20.13 miles) long, running east-west from Shargole to Batambis.
