Cona Qu
Cona Qu is a high mountain lake located in the south of the Tibet Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. The road to the lake climbs up to 4.835m (15,862ft) above the sea level.
This infamous gravel road to the lake is bumped. It is subject to winter snowfalls with such a high summit altitude, and it can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. 4wd vehicle required. After rain, even a single rainfall, conditions of the road can be challenging. Proper preparation is essential to having a safe, enjoyable trip on this road.
